What the letter F!

I'm still cracking up at Miles' new saying... Trust me I never ever ever said those words (at least not strung together in the same phrase) before... I truly don't know where he gets this stuff from.

Anyways, I did another installment of self-loc maintenance and when I got up from under the dryer to look in the mirror, all I could think was "what the Letter F!"...

Don't get me wrong, I think I did an awesome job, but I can't figure out why my hair ALWAYS decides to stick out like antenna. No matter what I do, my hair wants to shoot God.... oh, wait, don't go getting all offended, Shooting God just means that hair is sticking up, my hair is not the debil...

So, Here are some pics of the end result...

By the way, why does it always look like one of my eyes are bigger than the other?? I need to get that checked out...

LOL!!!! Not bad...I still need to man-up and try doing it myself! How often do you do it??

Jen,
Yeah, I do an all out wash, palm twist & dry maybe every 5 weeks or when I start looking kinda rasta-is...which ever comes first. I like to do it myself because 1) it saves me 60$ every month, and 2) I can control how much my hair is being pulled & manipulated... I'm always afraid of my hairline dissapearing from being pulled.. But I do need to get into the shop to make sure all is going well, I think I may go in May...

I don't know anything about locs or hair for that matter, but I think it looks GREAT! Keep saving your money!

Your locs look good, You don't need to go to the salon. How long have you been loc'd? I'm on my second round, a little over 2years. The first time I was loc'd was for 7 years and have no idea what made me decide to "start over"...never will do that again!

Thanks CEOMamma;
I've been loc'd since September 09'. This is actually my second round as well. The first time, my hair locked on accident, this time was a little more purposed... Thanks for the compliment!

I like my hair better when I do it, but thought maybe I should check in every once in a while to make sure things are going the "right" way...
