This is what I told Miles this afternoon, as I tried to explain to him that daddy & Zoe would be back in 3 days. Of course he looked at me like I had 2 heads, but then he looked me square in the eye and said "mommy you aiight?."
This evening Kyle & Zoe left for a weekend trip to Atlanta to support his niece who is participating her Debutante Ball. They'll be back Monday evening, and while they're gone I'll be playing single mom with Miles... What have I gotten myself into???
In my head I want to take the weekend easy, maybe catch a movie, and hit Franklin mills, but deep down inside I feel like I'll be rushing all around trying to get things don't that don';t really need to be done. For instance I was all concerned about how I would walk Luna with Miles, and one of my friends was like"just put Miles in his stroller, and tie Luna to the handle bar"... I was wondering why I didn't think of that, but replied with "yeah that's what I was going to do"...
So far things are peaceful, the dog has been walked, Miles has been fed and bathed. So far so good...
It's 9:53pm and I'm sitting here waiting for Kyle's phone call letting me know they arrived safely, and for the first time in a very long time the house seems so big, so quiet, so much...
OMG!! I haven't slept alone in over 11years...I don't know how I am going to get to sleep tonight...
