Tuesday Boosday!!!

What a yucky, mucky, mother f**ky day!

Sorry about that.. but I've been holding this in all day. Today was one of those days that no one wants to repeat..EVER! It all started early this morning with the rain (there ain't ish good about a rainy, dreary day!!), and ended with Kyle being in a car accident.

Let's start at the beginning - - I should've known something was up, I never ever ever wake up early. It's either on time or late, but I never ever wake up early. But today was different. I woke up an hour earlier than I normally do. Instead of going back to bed I took advantage of the time by walking the dog and going for a quick run before getting on with my normal morning routine.

I got to work, and the morning went really fast, one minute I was putting breakfast in the oven (tator tots) and the next thing I know I'm cleaning up after lunch. I called Kyle and we decided to take the van to get inspected so we could actually start using it. Oh yes, we got a van over the weekend to use for the daycare... you know picking up and dropping off the kiddies, running daycare related errands and things like that...Nothing fancy, nothing expensive just a van. So we take the van to Pep Boys (Sign #2.. I hate Pep boys) and we come back... no big deal right?

About a good 4 hours later Pep boys calls and tell us that we need new brakes, and windshield wipers which according to their calculations will cost about 350$. We decide that my dad can do the work so kyle goes to get the car and on his way back BAM! Someone runs a stop sign and crashes right into him.... Thank God he's alright, but the car... Did you see the incredible hulk?? You know the scene where the hulk is fighting that bad hulk and the hulk smashes a cop car in two?? yeah, that's how it looked.... Okay, maybe not that bad, but chances are the insurance company will declare it a total loss... JUST GREAT!

The great thing (aside from Kyle being okay)is that Progressive's claim service is really as good as they advertise... This is the first time we've ever had to submit any kind of claims, but the process was very smooth, they made us feel at ease and promised to make us "whole again". They guy had insurance and the Police officers weren't jerks (which I find to be very rare nowadays...)

Most of all I am surprised with myself. Surprised that I could actually hold it all together long enough to 1) get through the day (this happened at about 4:00 while kids were still here) and 2) use this blog as a way of getting behind this horrible day. Of course, I had to take a moment to breath, and another to Thank God, but in the end we're alright!
